Host FamiliesAre you interested in having an impact on a young man’s life, possibly his professional career?
Are you interested in building a relationship that may last a lifetime? Do you love baseball?
THEN THE TERRE HAUTE REX BASEBALL TEAM WANTS YOU.
If you love baseball and the idea of sharing your home with a possible future Major League Baseball Player, we have a great opportunity for you! The Terre Haute Baseball summer collegiate baseball team is bringing high-potential players from across the USA right here to the Terre Haute community! Help us bring a winning team to our area by volunteering to be a host family. Host families provide a safe and comfortable family environment. These young men will provide a positive influence in the community and in your home.
Players will begin arriving in late May and early June and will be playing baseball until August. Host families typically provide accommodations, meals, and transportation to Bob Warn Field (if the player doesn’t have his own). Due to the aggressive schedule they play, this should be a modest requirement. In the past, some families have hosted two baseball players and find it to be much more fun than hosting just one.
Each host family will receive a free “Host Family Package” that includes:
- Host Family Recognition Night
- Autograph Team Photo
- REX t-shirt with your player's name
- Three general admission season tickets for the 2012 season
